JOB REQUIREMENTS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PAY SCALES

Sales Associate/Buyer: If you are a fashion lover and have an understanding of constantly changing trends for teens and young adults, this job is perfect for you. Your main responsibility is to buy and sell teen clothes. You work with both customers and merchandise. You should be able to provide excellent customer service by helping and guiding the customers to have a great selling or shopping experience while you are making sure that you process the payments correctly. Additionally, when you are working with the merchandise, you need to buy the ones in good condition, stock and organize them. Sometimes you may rearrange clothing racks as well as pricing the products or unloading deliveries. This is an entry-level job, however, you need to meet some physical requirements such as being able to lift up to 40 pounds. Since you work in a shopping-driven environment with teens, you need to be passionate about fashion, energetic, dedicated, and diverse. As a Sales Associate, initially, you will be paid minimum wage which is $7.50. However, experience and good work can be rewarded up to $13 per hour. You can work part-time or full time.

Keyholder: This job is suitable for both already Plato Closet’s employees looking for a promotion and individuals who have previous experience in the industry. You have three main responsibilities as a keyholder; performing opening and closing procedures in a timely manner, supervising the sales associates and help them meet the sales target, auditing the till. Keep in mind that you will be working in a busy-pace working environment with inventory and disciplinary responsibilities. You should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and you should have an insight into every process in the store. Keyholders can earn up to $10.00 per hour.

Team Leader: As a team leader, your responsibilities would be similar to Keyholders, with the addition of keeping the sales floor organized, reviewing sales data and broad knowledge of brand-names and new-wave items. For this job, ability to lift up to 40 pounds and previous experience are required along with the strong leadership skills. You can earn between $10 – $16 per hour as a team leader.

Plato’s Closet is offering two management roles. To fill the positions, the company may hire both externally and internally. Experience in sales industry and leadership positions along with strong customer service skills and great focusing on details are required.

Store Manager: Store managers have broad daily responsibilities with executive functions. They recruit and train new members of the store, create schedules for them, coach employees, pay salaries, and ensure that customers are satisfied. They can earn between $30,000 – $49,700 annually. Average pay scale is $35,000 for a year.

Assistant Manager: Assistant Managers’ main job is to help Store Managers. They also ensure that they meet the sales target and store keeps making profit. Assistant Managers earn between $11 – $16.65 per hour.
